When I’m not photographing weddings, you’d find me either shooting photos somewhere in the music world or in the ocean surfing.
My love for photography really bloomed during a Fine Art Photography Degree in which I found particular fondness towards traditional and contemporary documentary photography. Photography that, in a single image says so much about so many things, in the chaos or still of the moment all at once.
I floated around the wedding photography industry for nearly 10 years, second shooting and assisting other photographers before I jumped in with both feet and started my own business. I want to work with couples that want to celebrate and have fun with the people they love the most.
I want to be surrounded by big smiles, happy tears, memories, tributes and dreams. Couples often concerningly tell me “I hate getting my photo taken, this is going to be awkward” to which I reply something to the affect of “That’s fine, focus on getting married - not me”.
It’s this reassuring yet relaxed attitude I want to carry into every working relationship (and hopefully eventual friendship). I want couples to be able to look at their photos and be reminded of how the day really was - a celebration that we all got to experience together, in it’s absolute fullest.
It’s never lost on me the importance of capturing someone’s wedding day and if you’ve read this far… Thankyou, I really hope we get to know each other and get to work together.
Drop me a line anytime!
